Anthony P. Lelii

Anthony P. "Lolly" Lelii died Dec. 4, 2003, at his home in Plymouth Meeting after an illness. He was 81.

Mr. Lelii was a pipe fitter for Keasby & Mattison, CertainTeed Corp. and Videx Machine Co. in Ambler, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Paul's Church in Norristown; and a member of the Flourtown Country Club. Mr. Lelii was an avid golfer.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippine Liberation and was awarded a Bronze Star. He also served in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign and was awarded three Bronze Stars.

Born July 3, 1922, in Ambler, he was a son of the late Victor and Ninzio (Gagliano) Lelii. He graduated from Ambler High School in 1940.

Surviving is his wife, Luella C. Lelii; daughter, Kathy Anne Lelii-Gratz of Chalfont; sister, Lucy Urban of Ambler; and two brothers, Ralph of Ambler and Victor of Hatfield.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 9 in St. Paul's Church, Norristown. Interment was at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting.
