Robert H. Kreamer

Robert H. Kreamer, 67, of Ambler passed away Tuesday, December 28 at his home with his wife, Winnie at his side.

Bob was a lifetime banking official.  In 1955 he began his career at Philadelphia National Bank, where he held numerous positions during his 32 years with them.  He served as president of the American Institute of Banking, Philadelphia Chapter in 1972.  In 1986, Bob moved to Harleysville National Bank, where he was currently employed as a Vice President of Corporate Lending at the Springhouse Office.  Bob was close with many of his clients and most became good friends to him over the years.

Bob was very involved in his surrounding community.  He served for 32 years with the 111th Air Defense Wing out of Willow Grove Naval Airbase.  He was trustee at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Ambler and a past board member of Child, Home and Community in Doylestown, Pa., where he served as treasurer for a number of years and retired from the Board in 2003.  Bob’s true passion has always been with the Lansdale Kiwanis Club, where he was a member for 33 years and served as secretary for the past 18 years.  Many of his closest friends are fellow Kiwanians. Bob was a member of Integrity Lodge # 187 F. & A.M. of Pennsylvania.

Bob enjoyed visiting Williamsburg with Winnie for their anniversary in May, and in December for their holiday festivities.  He was also a huge Phillies fan, he and Winnie would attend Sunday games.  Most of all, Bob loved vacationing on Long Beach Island every summer with his family and friends.  He enjoyed reading, playing cards and board games, especially a challenging game of Pinochle or Scrapple.

In addition to his wife, Winnie (nee Shuster), he is survived by his three sons; Bob and his wife, Donna and their daughters, Chrissy and Kelly of Ambler, Pa; Gary of Ambler, Pa.; and Scott and his wife, Heidi, and grandson, Patrick of Paoli, Pa..  Also surviving are his mother, Mary E. (nee Richardson) Raber of North Wales, PA  and his brother Richard A. and his wife Debe, of Wayne, PA.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 4th at Calvary United Methodist Church, Park and Lindenwold Avenues, Ambler.  Friends are invited to visit at 9:30 a.m. and the service will begin at 10:30 to celebrate Bob’s life.  In lieu of flowers, Bob requested contributions be made to the North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club, P. O. Box 103, 16 Susquehanna Avenue, Lansdale, PA  19446.
