 Phyllis E. LaRuffa

Phyllis E. LaRuffa, 89 of Maple Glen PA, formerly of Ambler died Sunday in the Abington Memorial Hospital Abington, PA. after a sudden illness. 

Born in Ambler, (12-7-1915), she was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and the late Nora (nee DiNunzio) Melograna.  Mrs. LaRuffa was preceded in death by her husband Joseph LaRuffa in 1993.

She was a Homemaker.

Mrs. LaRuffa was a member of St. Anthony's Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, & Altar Linens Preparers. She was also an accomplished Pianist & Organist and played for many church functions. She was also the organist at St. Joseph's Church in Ambler for many years.

She is survived by two sons Pascal “ Pat” J. LaRuffa, MD. of Yardley, PA;     Vincent J. LaRuffa of Newnan, GA; three daughters Rosemarie A. Melair of   Maple Glen, PA,  Nora  LaRuffa of  Cape Coral, FL and Phyllis T. Smith of    Horsham, PA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Relatives & Friends may call Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. At St. Anthony Of Padua Church Forest Ave. & Hendricks St.  Ambler with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Msgr. Stephen P. McHenry Pastor of St. Anthony’s as Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Church Cemetery, Ambler. 

Remembrances in her name to  St. Anthony Of Padua Church Memorial Fund  259 Forest Ave., Ambler, PA.  19002 would be appreciated by the family.
