Mascola
Frank J.
Mascola died April 22, 2004, in the Ambler Rest Center, Ambler, after a
brief stay. He was 80.
Born in
Ambler, July 24, 1923, he was a son of the late Joseph and Giacomina (Milano)
Mascola.
Mr. Mascola
worked as an assistant golf pro at Sandy Run Country Club in Oreland in
the early '50s. During the '60s and '70s, he played drums
professionally for a number of bands in the area and gave drum lessons.
He was a lab technician at the G. & W. H. Corson Quarry in Whitemarsh
for 23 years. He also worked as the building maintenance supervisor for
Northwestern Institute in Fort Washington for 12 years, prior to his
retirement in 1987. After retirement he worked part time at St. Anthony
of Padua Church in Ambler as a maintenance man.
Mr. Mascola
was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler.
He is
survived by his wife, Anne M. Mascola; and a son, Larry F. Mascola, both
of Ambler.
The Rev.
Monsignor Stephen P. McHenry, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church,
Ambler, celebrated a funeral Mass April 27. Interment was in Riverside
Cemetery, Norristown.
