John M. Matsko

John M. Matsko, 78 of Ambler, died Sunday, December 26, 2004 in the Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia after a sudden illness. 

Born in Sheppton, PA. (5-19-1926), he was the son of the late John and the late Johanna (nee Maylath) Matsko. 

He served in the US Army from 9-13-1944 to 7-30-1946 in the European, African and Eastern campaigns.

He was a Machinist, employed by FMC Link Belt In Philadelphia for over 45 years prior to his retirement in 1988.

Mr. Matsko was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Ambler, Wm. Bolton Dixon Post # 10 of the American Legion in Fort Washington, Notre Dame Council of the Knights of Columbus

He is survived by his wife Mary M. (nee Skoviak) Matsko of Ambler; a son John M. (Lindy) Matsko of  Collegeville, PA; two daughters, Mary (Dan) Brandriff  of Fort Washington, Joann (Jeff) Banyas of  Pittsburgh, PA; and 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Martin  Matska . He is also survived by a brother and three sisters   James  Matsko of Kreskeville, PA, Eleanor  Matsko of Conshohocken, PA, Marie Haber Lafayette Hill, PA Cecilia  Maras in  CA and  Joan  Gerace in NJ

Relatives & Friends may call Wednesday from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Ambler  with the Rev. Daniel Cavanaugh Pastor as Celebrant.  Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. 

Remembrances in the form of Mass Cards would be preferred and  appreciated by the family.
