Born July 31, 1957, in Abington, she was a daughter of Brenda M. (Finley) McDermott of Ambler and the late John F. McDermott.

She was a homemaker and had also worked as a counter sales clerk at John Wannamaker Department stores.

She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Chalfont.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Ricki Lee Leight of Quakertown; her partner, Donald Morehouse of New Britain; two brothers, John "Jack" F. McDermott Jr. (Priscilla Cullen) of Upper Southampton and Michael J. McDermott of Bernville; a sister, Patricia A. Wills (James) of Fort Washington and two nieces and one nephew.

Relatives and friends and Friends of Bill W. are invited to her memorial Mass at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 321 W. Butler Ave. (Route 202), Chalfont, PA 18914.
