Edna E. Pohle

Edna E. Pohle, formerly of Doylestown, and of Tennis Avenue in Ambler for more than 50 years, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, in Manor Care Nursing Home, Huntingdon Valley . She was 98.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul S. Harton in 1965 and Levern T. Pohle in 1998.

Born in Philadelphia on July 16, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Oscar M. and Eva M. (Hibbert) Parsons.

Mrs. Pohle was a homemaker and a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Ambler.

She is survived by her son, David P. Harton of Chalfont; her stepsons, Thomas L. Pohle of Warwick and William L. Pohle of Horsham; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Sr. Diane Pohle of Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart.

Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, 235 E. County Line Road , Hatboro, where her funeral Mass will begin at 11. The Rev. Stephen P. McHenry, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church , will be celebrant. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park , Prospectville.
