  Eugene E. Reitman

Eugene E. Reitman, 77 of  Ambler PA., died Sunday June 27th in the Abington Memorial Hosp. Abington, PA. after an illness.

Born in Philadelphia, PA  (10-9-1926), he was the son of the late Frederick and the late Anna (nee Schuck) Reitman.

He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WW II serving from 7-17-1944 to 11-12-1946 in the European, African, Middle Eastern Campaign.

He was a High School Teacher, employed by Cherry Hill West  High School, Cherry Hill, NJ where he taught Marketing, Management & Retail for 24 years prior to his retirement in 1987.

Mr. Reitman was a member of Ambler Kiwanis Club for 49 years where he served as President and as  Secretary for 20 years; American Legion Post # 10 in Ft. Washington for the past 19 years where he served as Historian & Financial Officer and DECA- Distributive Education Clubs of America.  He was a founding member of the Marketing Education Teachers Association, St. Alphonsus Senior Citizens, where he served as President in 1994, Vice President and Trip Chairman, SAUDC Senior Adults Upper Dublin Center where he served as President in 1996 to 1998 and Knights of Columbus Notre Dame Council.

He is survived by his wife Ruth D. Reitman of Ambler, PA, sons:  Michael (Helene) Reitman of West Chester, PA  and James (Helen) Reitman of Folcroft, PA daughters:  Francine (John) Riedmiller of Kittnersville, PA. and Sharon (Edgar) Santana  of Egg Harbor, NJ. He was predeceased  by son Patrick Reitman in 1978. There are eight  grandchildren and a brother Fredrick Reitman of Jackson, OH.

Relatives & Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ambler.  Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.

 Remembrances in his name to  American Legion Post #10 439 S. Bethlehem Pike Ft. Washington, Pa. 19034 would be appreciated by the family.
