F. “Woody” Woodward
C. F. “Woody” Woodward,
Jr., 71 of Fort Washington PA., died Tuesday in the Abington Memorial
Hosp. Abington, PA. after a sudden illness.
Born in Philadelphia
(2-27-1933), he was the son of the late Carlton F. Sr. and the late
Lois (nee Caley) Woodward.
He served in the US Army
from 3-2-1953 to 9-3-1957 during the Korean Conflict.
He was a Radio
Technician, employed by Scott Communications In Souderton, Pa. for 20
years. And the Bucks County Communication Center in Doylestown, Pa. as
a communications specialist on the 911 Telephone system until his
retirement this year.
“Woody” was an active
Member of the Baden Powell District of the Boy Scouts of America for
the past 50 years. He was the recipient of the Order of the Arrow and
worked with the Explorer Scouts. For the 20 years he served as the
First Aid Coordinator of the Olympia/Scope Camporee along with the St.
John's Ambulance Association in Canada held every 4 years.
He was an active member
of the Fort Washington Fire Company #1 for 24 years and the Community
Ambulance Association of Ambler for 20 years where he was a volunteer
EMT, First Aid and CPR instructor. He was a member of the German
American Firefighters Association amd The German American Police
Assoc. for the past 10 years
He was a lifelong Ham
Radio Operator whose Call Sign Was W3TBQ.
He is survived by his
wife Helga F. (nee Fischer) Woodward of Fort Washington; two
sons, Martin P. Woodward of Lower Gwynedd, PA; Thomas E. Woodward of
Ithaca, NY; two daughters, Susan L. Burd of York, PA,
Jennifer L. Woodward of Fort Washington, PA; a brother, Ross C.
Woodward of Fort Washington, PA; a sister Jane C. Davis of Lower
Salford, PA. He is also survived by three grandchildren

call Saturday (12-11-2004) from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban
Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Memorial Service
at 11:00 AM.
