Milton Birch ("Buz") Barba,

Milton Birch ("Buz") Barba, Jr., 75, of Fort Washington, died on May 30, 2005 at Chestnut Hill Hospital.  He is a graduate of the William Penn Charter School class of 1947 and the University of Pennsylvania class of 1951.  He is a retired credit analyst with Dun & Bradstreet, Philadelphia, PA for 22 years prior to his retirement in 1986.  Mr. Barba served as Membership Chairman of the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May, New Jersey for 12 years.  He was Scoutmaster of Boy Scouts of America Troops # 376Holy Martyrs Church in Oreland, Troop 540 St. Joseph’s Church in Ambler and Troop 2 St. Philip in the Fields Church in Oreland.  In 1967 he was General Chairman of the first "Scout Ontario Pennsylvania Expedition" (Olympia / Scope) which connected U.S. and Canadian scouts for scout jamborees, a tradition that continues today.   He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marybeth (nee Oakes) Barba and two sons, Thomas M. Barba, Esq. of McLean, Virginia (Linda A. Gottfried, Esq.), Philip D. Barba (Ellen), Harleysville, PA, 3 grandchildren, Matthew L. Barba and Susan E. Barba of McLean, VA and Kathryn R. Barba of Harleysville, PA.   

Relatives & Friends may call Friday 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Church main & Poplar Sts. In Ambler with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Daniel Cavanaugh, Pastor as Celebrant. Interment will be in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
