J. Barker
John J. Barker, 78 of Ambler PA.,
died Monday at the home of his companion Verna Wilde in Chalfont, PA.
Born in Philadelphia,
PA., he was the son of the late George and the late Margaret (nee
Kilkenny) Barker. Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his wife
Elizabeth M. Barker (nee Cummings) in 1985 and his daughter Janice M.
Barker in 1974.
He served in the Marine Corps
during WWII.
He was a Salesman of Industrial
Belts for the Durkee Atwood Company of Minneapolis, MN.
Mr. Barker was a member of St.
Joseph's Church Ambler, PA, Sandy Run Country Club in Oreland and a
former member of the Ambler Jaycees.
He is survived by his son George
M. (Lee M.) Barker of Harleysville, PA, two grandchildren, Carly M. &
John R. Barker of Harleysville, PA. and his companion Verna Wilde of
Chalfont, PA. He is also survived by his brother George L. Barker of
New Britain, PA.

may call Thursday Sept. 29, 2005 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s
Church Main & Poplar Sts. Ambler. Funeral Mass 10:30 AM with the Rev.
Daniel Cavanaugh Pastor as Celebrant. Interment will be in Holy
Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
