Arthur A. Hopper

Arthur A. Hopper, 84 of Spring House Estates Lower Gwynedd PA. formerly of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, died Monday in the Abington Memorial Hospital Abington, PA. 

Born in Staten Island, NY. (5-11-1921) he was the son of the late Charles M. and the late Mary E. (nee Pike) Hopper.  Mr. Hopper was preceded in death by his wife Catherine E. Hopper (nee Connolly) in 2000.

He served in the US Navy from 8-29-1942 to 8-30-1948 in the Asiatic, African and Philippine Theaters.

He was a Maintenance Supervisor, employed by Graphis Arts Inc In Philadelphia, Pa. for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1983.

He is survived by his son, Arthur M. Hopper of Ambler; his daughter Jeanne K. Hopper of Newtown, PA; granddaughters   Christine and Carolyn Hopper Ambler, PA; and a sister Melba  Young of Staten Island, NY. He was predeceased by his brother David Lynk

Relatives &Friends may call Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, Ambler.  Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.

Remembrances in his name to the Men of Malvern, (Malvern Retreat House) P.O. Box 315, Malvern, Pa. 19355-0315 would be appreciated by the family.
