Alice R. Iovine

Alice R. Iovine, 75 died Thursday at her home in Ambler after a brief illness. 

Born in Ambler, PA.(12-19-1930), she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and the late Eva (nee West) Roberto.

She was a graduate of Ambler High School Class of 1948 and was active with the Re-Union Committee.

She was a Food Service Worker, employed by Wissahickon School District for more than 20 years prior to her Retirement in 1995. After retirement she continued to work part time for Wissahickon School District in the transportation department as a Bus Aid.

Mrs. Iovine was a Lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church in  Ambler where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Cub Scout Leader of Pack # 540, Decorating Committee, Bingo Volunteer, Counter and member of the Choir. She also belonged to St. Alphonsus Senior's in Maple Glen, Pa.

She is survived by her husband of 56 Years Fred F. Iovine            Ambler, PA; a son  Fred A. (Jean) Iovine Tamuning, GUAM; three daughters Rosemarie A. (Curtis) Lemuell of  Quakertown, PA, Tina M. Iovine of Ambler, PA, Elizabeth M. Iovine of Jeffersonville, PA; a sister, Anna Narkum Little Egg Harbor, NJ; A brother, Frank Roberto of Hatfield, PA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great granddaughter.

Relatives & Friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Ambler.  Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
