Alberta T. Serago

Alberta T. Serago, 81 of Ambler PA., died Sunday in the Chestnut Hill Hospital Philadelphia, PA. after an illness. 

Born in Ambler, PA. (6-26-1923), she was the daughter of the late Domenic and the late Angelina (nee Rocco) Rocco.  Mrs. Serago was preceded in death by her husband Niblick A. Serago in 1998.

She was a Food Service Worker, employed by Gwynedd Mercy College for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1985.

Mrs. Serago was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Ambler, PA.

She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Ann “Betty Ann” Backetti of Ambler;  granddaughter, Andrienne A. Keffer of Royersford, PA; grandson, Robert M. Lepore of  Montgomeryville, PA; and 5 great-grandsons. She is also survived by 3 sisters Angelina  Brown, Ida “Dolly” Phipps both of  Ambler, and Elizabeth “Betty” Turner of  Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Relatives & Friends may call Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Daniel Cavanaugh, Pastor of St. Joseph’s Church in Ambler officiating.  Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
