Caroline M. Bielavitz

Caroline M. Bielavitz, 96 died Sunday at the home of her daughter in Ambler, PA. after an illness. 

Born in Dunmore, PA., she was the daughter of the late Hepaul and the late Mary Rose (nee Demkosky) Gerulsky.

Mrs. Bielavitz along with her late husband Joseph P. Bielavitz operated a grocery store and meat market in Scranton, Pa. for many years prior to their retirement. Mr.  Bielavitz died in 1983. Mrs Bielavitz moved to Ambler, PA in 1990 and was a resident of the Mattison House Apartments until 2005.

Mrs. Bielavitz was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen, Pa.

She is survived by her daughter  Joan C. (Don) Betterly  of Ambler; two sons, Joseph P. (Saran) Bielavitz Keansburg, NJ, Thomas (Barbara) Bielavitz Scranton, PA; a son in law Jack Wagner Marietta, GA; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Elaine Wagner and a grandson Tim Betterly.

Relatives & Friends may call Wednesday (2-22-2006) from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Alphonsus Church Conwell Drive Maple Glen with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM with the Rev. John Crowley as Celebrant.  Interment will be Private.

Remembrances in her name to  Abington Home Care Hospice, 2510 Maryland Drive, Willow Grove, Pa.  19090 would be appreciated by the family.
