Daniel J. Carr

Daniel J. Carr, 67 of Ambler PA., died Friday in the Mercy Suburban Hospital Norristown, PA. after an Illness.

Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late Charles and the late   Sarah A. (nee McCafferty) Carr.

He was a truck driver, employed by Jones Motor Freight and Henkels & McCoy prior to his retirement.

Mr. Carr was a member of Teamsters Local Union # 384 in Norristown.

He is survived by his wife Sandra J. (nee Moberg) Carr of Ambler, a son Daniel J. (Cheryl) Carr, Jr. of Ambler; 4 daughters, Donna M. (Bob) McGrath of Blue Bell, PA, Diane L. (Henry) McCormick of Ambler, Mary Noon of  Norristown, PA, Sherry A. (Ken Jenkins) Pierson  of Norristown, PA; 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Catherine Hohnowski of Limerick, PA, Margaret Foster of Lindenwold, NJ and a brother John Carr of Voorhees, NJ.

Relatives and friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home., 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Michael Sullivan from Caring Hospice Officiating. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
