Francis T. Prendergast

Francis T. Prendergast, 59 of Dresher PA., died suddenly Saturday in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Philadelphia, PA. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of Margaret (nee Smith) Prendergast of Elkins Park, Pa. the late Francis Prendergast.

At the time of his death He was a Certified Public Accountant, employed by Pound Consulting in Philadelphia and was a member of AICPA and PICPA

He was a graduate of the University of Dayton with a BS in 1973 and received his MBA from Temple University in 1983. He attended the Wharton School and AICPA Seminars. 

He was a US Army veteran, serving as a Counterintelligence Agent from 1967 to 1969 and for the Republic of Viet Nam 1968 to 1969. 

He was a Past Treasurer of the  Upper Dublin Township School Board for 4 terms, Montgomery County, PA,  Past Board Director, Montgomery County Ballet Company, Past Board Director, Butterworth Dance Company. He enjoyed the theater and all sports and was a voracious reader of history, fiction and current events.   

He is survived by his Wife    Donna L. (nee Kaufman) Prendergast and Daughters Meghan J. Prendergast and Gillian L. Prendergast all of Dresher, PA. He is also survived by his Mother Margaret M. (nee Smith) Prendergast of Elkins Park, PA, his Sisters, Margaret M. Prendergast, Maria P. Prendergast both of Philadelphia, and Brother Thomas W. Prendergast, MD. of Berkley Heights, NJ. 

Funeral Services and Interment will be private.
