 Fred C. Schlater

Fred C. Schlater, 78 of Ambler PA., died Sunday in the Chestnut Hill Hospital Philadelphia, PA after a brief illness. 

Born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on Sept. 3, 1928 he was the son of the late Charles F. and the late Ruth (nee Leake) Schlater.  He served in the US Navy veteran of WWII.

Fred was employed by the US Postal service in the Oreland Office as a letter carrier for 23 years prior to his retirement in 1988 he then worked part time for Weldon Auto Parts as a delivery man for 12 years.

He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Gwynedd Valley Sportsman Club.

Mr. Schlater was preceded in death by his wife Marijane (nee Easlick) Schlater

He is survived by his daughter Bunny J. Hondros and her husband Rob of North Wales, PA and his son Fred C. Schlater, Jr. and his wife Terry of  Easton, PA. he is also survived by his grandchildren Chelsea, Robbie, Dylan, Dakota and Samantha. 

Relatives & Friends may call Friday Dec. 22, 2006 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be private. 

Remembrances in his name to  American Heart Association, 625 West Ridge Pike, Building A Suite 100, Conshohocken, PA.  19428-1190  would be appreciated by the family.
