JoAnn V. Sigmund

JoAnn V. Sigmund, 68 of Ambler PA., died Monday in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Philadelphia, PA. after an illness. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA., she was the daughter of the late Joseph P.T. and the late Helen (nee O'Hara) Smith.

She Received her Masters Degree from Villanova University in 1987 in Counseling and Human Relations

She was a Guidance Counselor, employed by CORA Services, Inc. in N.E. Philadelphia which provides funding and counseling for needy children and families. She has worked for them for the past 19 years and has most recently been at St. Martin of Tous Church in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Sigmund was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church

She is survived by her husband Peter R. Sigmund     Ambler, PA; four sons, Peter R. Sigmund, Jr. of Erdenheim, PA, Joseph P. (Natasha) Sigmund of Palmyra, NJ, James D. Sigmund of North Wales, PA, Mark H. Sigmund of Kulpsville, PA; a grandson Joseph P. Sigmund  Jr.; a brother Rev. Msgr. Joseph P.T. Smith of Reading, PA; and a sister Dr. Rosalind (Norman) Edman of Hellertown, PA

Relatives & Friends may call Saturday (1-7-2006) from 9:00 to 10.30 AM with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, Ambler with Rev. Msgrs. Joseph P.T. Smith and Stephen P. McHenry as con -Celebrants.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.  Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10.30 AM.
