Angela E. Taverno, 89 died at her residence at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale. She was formerly of State College, Pa. and Lemon Street. in Ambler. 

Born in Ambler, PA., she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (nee Roberto) Varrese.  Mrs. Taverno was preceded in death by her husband Anthony T. Taverno in 1984.

She was a Homemaker and a member of St. Joseph's Church in Ambler, St. Alphonsus Senior Citizens in Maple Glen, Pa. and the African Violet Society.

She is the devoted mother of Carol A. (Paul) Mattern of Hatfield, PA, Anthony F. Taverno of Norristown, PA and Ronald P. (Patty) Taverno of State College, PA. She was the loving Grandmother of 7 and Great Grand Mother of 3. 

Relatives and Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday 8:30 to 9:30 AM at  the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Ambler.  Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Ambler.
