Stanton S. “Stan” Thompson

Stanton S. “Stan” Thompson, II, 48 died unexpectedly Monday at his home in Maple Glen, PA. 

Born in Baltimore, MD., he was the son of Alice K. (nee Astarita) Thompson of Hingham, MA. and the late Stanton S. Thompson, Sr. who died in 1999.

He was a School Bus Driver, employed by Wissahickon School District for the past 17 years he was also a driver for Sague Bus service in Lafayette Hill, Pa.

Mr. Thompson, II was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen, Pa. and the PSEA (Pa. State Education Assoc.)

He is survived by his Mother, Alice K. (nee Astarita) Thompson of Hingham, MA his Sisters Janet T. Dieter of Port Orchard, WA, Judith T. (Vincent) Trossello of Hingham, MA and Kathleen M. Cross of Maple Glen, PA. He is also survived by three nephews and a niece. 

Relatives and friends may call Monday (11-27-2006) from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, Pa. with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Alphonsus Church, Maple Glen.  Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.

Remembrances in his name to  Muscular Dystrophy Association, 521 Plymouth Road, Suite 108, Plymouth Meeting, PA  19462 would be appreciated by the family.
