Andrew Umfer

Andrew Umfer, 95 formerly of Cedar Road in Ambler PA., died Thursday in the Abington Memorial Hospital Abington, PA. 

Born in Pax, WV, he was the son of the late Paul and the late Maria (nee Vadebber) Umfer.  Mr. Umfer was preceded in death by his wife Corrine D.  (Nee Devlin) Umfer in 1994.

He was the proprietor of Andrew Umfer and Sons Painting Contractors prior to his retirement in 1984

Mr. Umfer was a Past President of the Upper Dublin Kiwanis Club, Past President of the Upper Dublin Lions Club and Past President of the Painters and Decorators Association, Philadelphia Chapter.

He is survived by his sons Andrew J. (Carol Ann) Umfer of Trevose, PA; Gerald L. (Judith) Umfer of Horsham, PA; Robert D. (the Late Paul Siegfried) Umfer of Lansdale, PA and his daughter, Connie P. (Bob) Bristow Ambler, PA. He is also survived by 3 Grandsons.

 Relatives and friends may call Tuesday (12-12-2006) from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Diane Lawlor Pastor of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church Officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ambler
