Francis T. Dwyer

Francis T. Dwyer of Havertown PA, died December 9, 2007 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after a brief illness.  

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William and Anna (nee Gore) Dwyer.   He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was an Accountant, employed by American Red Cross Blood Service Unit in Philadelphia for 25 year until his retirement in 1995.  

Mr. Dwyer was a member of St. Dorothy's Church in Drexel Hill where he was part of the Charismatic Prayer Group and a faithful Eucharistic Minister. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Catherine A. Dwyer and Brother William Dwyer. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth D (nee Deiter) Dwyer. Children Judith D. (Matthew) Patzek of Parkesburg, James T Dwyer of Philadelphia, Francis A. (Maureen) Dwyer of Collegeville and Elizabeth A Dwyer of Drexel Hill. He was the loving grandfather of Matt, Jonathan, Tim, and Dan Patzek. He is also survived by his brothers Daniel Dwyer of Modesto, CA and Robert Dwyer of Warminster, PA, and a sister Dolores Loftus of Maple Glen, PA.  

Relatives and friends are invited to call after 9:00AM Thursday December 13, 2007 at St. Dorothy's Church Township Line (Rt 1) and Burmont Rds., Drexel Hill.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. with the Rev. Michael D. Murphy, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery Springfield, PA. Remembrances in his name to St. Dorothy's Church, 4910 Township Line Rd. Drexel Hill, PA 19026 or the American Red Cross, Blood Service Unit, 700 Spring Garden St., Phila., PA 19123 would be appreciated.
