John
S. Eiden
John S. Eiden, Sr., 83 of
Ambler PA. A former resident of Philadelphia died Monday in
the Central Montgomery Medical Center Lansdale, PA.
Born in New York, NY, he was
the son of the late Ferdinand and Josephine (nee Rachwalska)
Eiden. Mr. Eiden was preceded in death by his wife Mary E.
(nee Wilkins) Eiden in 1997.
He served in the US Navy from
11-9-1942 to 4-30-1973 as a Chief Warrant Officer during the
Korean and Vietnam Wars.
After retiring from the
Military in 1973, he worked for Glaxo Smith Kline in
Philadelphia as a driver prior to retiring in 1988
Mr. Eiden was a member of St.
Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler
He is survived by his sons
Frank T. (Frances) Boyer and John S. Eiden, Jr both of
Philadelphia, PA and his Daughter Mary P. (John) Hutchman of
Ambler, PA and daughter-in-law Carolyn Boyer of Shelburne
Falls, MA and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was Pre Deceased by his
Son Dennis R. Boyer of Shelburne Falls, MA. last week.
He was the loving grandfather
of 11, Great Grand Father of 5 and is also survived by 1
great granddaughter.
Relatives and friends may
call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua
Church, Forest Avenue and Hendricks St. Ambler with a
Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Forest Hills
Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
