MABEL DAGER HANSEN
 

Mabel Dager Hansen of Gwynedd Estates, Lower Gwynedd, died on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the age of 92. She would have been 93 on July 11th. She was born in Prospectville, PA on her parents’ farm. She was the daughter of the late William Michener Dager and Mary Amanda Rex Dager.

Mrs. Hansen worked for the William H. Rorer Company in Ft. Washington as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement and then went on to work at the Lower Gwynedd Township Building as the receptionist for several years. She also taught at the Taylor Business School and Lansdale Business School. She retired fully at the age of 80.

She was entered into the Wissahickon High School Hall of Fame in 2003 for her years of service to the community. She was a very active 4-H leader and taught many young girls how to sew. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in Towamencin.

She was the wife of the late Carl J. Hansen. Surviving are her five children and spouses – Sally and Jack Malley of Ambler, Betsy and John Jampo of Ambler, Jack and Jackie Hansen of Lansdale, Carol Charlton and Bob Hawkins of Newtown, Pa., and Mary and Lee Sechler of Reno, NV. Mabel also has 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call after 10:00 AM Wednesday June 13, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church Summit Ave. Fort Washington, Pa. Funeral Service 11:00 AM with the Rev. Frank Sayford, Pastor Officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery Ambler, Pa.

Remembrances in her name to the Community Ambulance Association – Ambler P.O. Box 98 Ambler, Pa. 19002 or the Atlantic City Rescue Mission P.O. Box 5358 Atlantic City, NJ. 08404 would be appreciated.
