John S. High  53, Loving Husband and Proud Father 

John S. High, 53, of North Wales, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.  John was born in 1953 in Philadelphia to the late Walter and Suzanne (nee Scanlan) High.  John was a 1971 graduate of Springfield Twp. High School where he was a member of the wrestling team.  After high school John worked for his father and uncle at Robert M. Hilberts, Inc. in the sales of Mechanical equipment for the past ten years John has been a district sales manager for Hart & Cooley, Inc., of Bensenville, IL. A roofing products supply company.  

The center of his life was his family which included the love of his life, his wife of nearly 22 years, Jane (Williamson) High; his six children John, Jr., Antoinette, Christopher, Daniel, Sean and Catherine.  John is also survived by his two brothers, Walter High III of Rock Hall, MD and Bobby High of Roslyn, three sisters, Suzanne Morvin of North Wales, Pa., Patricia Sweeney of Green Lane, PA  and Nancy Sipe of Rock Hall, MD, and 18 nieces and nephews.  And let us not forget Richard “Dunk” Dunkelberger, his longtime friend since second grade. 

John’s real passion was attending and volunteering at his children’s swim meets for the Wissahickon Community Aquatic Club and Wissahickon High School and Nor-Gwyn Swim Club in Upper Gwynedd.  He could be found up in the balcony leading cheers or down on deck officiating or timing.     

Relatives and Friends are invited to call 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike Ambler, PA and Monday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church Forest Ave. and Hendricks St. Ambler Funeral Mass 10:00 AM  Interment George Washington Memorial Park .
