Raymond F. Hoffman

Raymond F. Hoffman, “Jonesy” 74 of Ambler PA, died Monday in the Chestnut Hill Hospital Philadelphia, PA. after a brief stay. 

Born in Horsham, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond F and Jeanette (nee Worthington) Hoffman.  Mr. Hoffman was preceded in death by his wife Nancy L. (nee Essick) Hoffman in 1986 He served in the US Navy from 2-5-1952 to 12-9-1953.

He loved Nature especially Hunting and Fishing.

He was an Equipment Operator, employed by FMC Link Belt in Colmar, PA for 20 years and Self Oil Heat in Ft. Washington for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1993. After retiring he worked part time as a custodian for Upper Dublin School District and a Parts deliveryman for Weldon Auto Parts in Ambler. 

He is survived by his Daughter Susan J. Hoffman (Bill Stewart) of Harleysville, PA. and his sisters Janet H. Pool of Doylestown, PA and Linda (Victor) Lelii of Hatfield, PA and brother Chick A. (Sue) Hoffman Ambler, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday November 29, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ambler.  

Remembrances in his name to: PA Game Commission, 2001 Elmerton Ave. Harrisburg, PA 17110-9797, for the preservation of PA wildlife habitat would be appreciated by the family.
