Elizabeth A. “Betty” Rooney 

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Rooney, 81 of Lansdale PA formerly of Ambler, died Sunday in the Central Montgomery Medical Center Lansdale, PA. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Alice (nee Monck) McCormick.  Mrs. Rooney was preceded in death by her husband Joseph V. Rooney in 1999.

She was a Retired Customer Service Representative, employed by Pilling Company in Ft. Washington, PA for over 20 years.

Mrs. Rooney was a former member of  St. Alphonsus Church and Senior Citizens in Maple Glen, PA.

She is the devoted mother of Joseph V Rooney Jr. of Ambler, PA, Mary A Sturm of Centreville, VA, Brian T Rooney of Lansdale, PA, David B Rooney of Blue Bell, PA., Beth Rooney of Lansdale, PA, Peter Rooney of Schwenksville, PA. and the late Michael P. Rooney and Joanne Rooney. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and her sisters Mary Crean of Ambler, Alice “Bunny” McCormick of Media and Ann McCormick of Upper Darby, PA. 

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM Thursday October 4, 2007 at St. Alphonsus Church 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA. with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Cheltenham.
