Charles P. Rutherford

Charles P. Rutherford, Jr., 78 formerly of South Spring Garden Street in Ambler, died Tuesday in the Abington Memorial Hospital Abington, PA. For the past 8 years he has been a Resident of Artman Lutheran Home in Ambler. 

Born in Upper Dublin Township, PA, he was the son of the late Charles P., Sr. and the late Minna (nee Behre) Rutherford and his late Step Mother Edna Stokes-Hoffman Rutherford.

Charlie enjoyed Puzzles, painting and maintaining his Rose Garden on S. Spring Garden St. in Ambler. His compassion and caring of others will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was a Laborer in the family business Rutherford Moving & Storage and did maintenance at the AGIS Company in Ambler prior to his retirement.

He is survived by his dear Friends E. Robert & Carol Freese of Telford, PA, his Artman Home family and his co-workers. 

Relatives and friends are invited to call after 2:30 PM Wednesday April 4, 2007 at the Chapel of Artman Lutheran Home, 250 N. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler and to his Memorial service at 3:30 PM in Artman Lutheran Home Community Room.  Interment will be Private in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
