Robert W. Gabel

Robert W. Gabel, 88 of Telford formerly of Lansdale died Tuesday in the Grand View Hospital Sellersville, PA. 

Born in Springtown, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Annie (nee Roudenbush) Gabel.

He served in the Army Air Corps from 6-1-1942 to 11-1-1945 and was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star during his European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign.

He was a Machinist, employed by FMC Link Belt in Colmar prior to his retirement in 1982.

Mr. Gabel was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Lansdale and a Lifetime member of the Moose Lodge # 1539 of Sellersville and the American Legion Post # 234 of Souderton.

He was the loving husband of Rita L (nee Lynch) Gabel of Telford, PA and brother of Milton Gabel of Telford, PA, Russell Gabel of Richlandtown, PA, Grace Roger of Perkasie, PA, Margaret "Peg" Snyder of Perkasie, PA, and Dorothy Stoneback of Quakertown, PA.

He was Pre deceased by his Brother Paul Gabel and Sister Mildred Fisher.  

Friends may call Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Church Main Street and Lansdale Avenue  Lansdale, PA.  with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be Private.
