COPING WITH THE HOLIDAYS

 “Coping with the Holidays”on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 2:00-3:30 PM  at the Urban Funeral Home, 1111  S. Bethlehem Pike in Ambler. 

  This program will explore meaningful ways to help enjoy the holidays and ease the healing of your broken heart.

 Denise M. Paul, MA, CT, a certified grief specialist, will facilitate the program. She has studied at the “The Center for Loss and Life Transition” in Colorado, under Alan Wolfelt, and has her Certification in Thanatology.  She brings years of experience of working with families that grieve the loss of their loved one.

 At the conclusion of our program we will honor the life of your loved one in a candle lighting ceremony of remembrance. We will follow with light refreshments and friendship.

 We look forward to providing this valuable program for families and friends of our community.

Registration is requested by November 12th.

Urban Funeral Home Secures Grant for

The Center for Loss and Bereavement

 

 Skip and Dolores Urban of the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home in Ambler recently presented a $1500.00 grant check to Shirley Elrod, Co-founder and Executive Director of The Center for Loss and Bereavement.  Funds will be used to support Nello’s Corner which is a unique, high quality program, offering grief support to children and their families who have experienced the death of an immediate family member.

“We were happy to sponsor Nello’s Corner and partner with the York Children’s Foundation.
