Earle G. Boyer, III formerly of Romansville, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 in Philadelphia, PA at the age of 72.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 16, 1946, he was the beloved son of Camilla M. Harrington (nee Rogan) of Lower Gwynedd, PA and the late Earle G. Boyer, Jr.
A 1964 graduate of Springfield Township High School, Earle was president of his class, captain of the track team, and a Penn Relay champion. He attended LaSalle University where he was a proud member of the Sigma Phi Lambda fraternity and graduated in 1968 with a degree in Economics.
An avid outdoorsman, Earle was an Eagle Scout and was happiest being surrounded by nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, participating in softball and dart leagues, and his involvement with the Brandywine Gun Club. A sports enthusiast, Earle was a lifelong Eagles and Phillies fan. He was fascinated with wildlife and American War History. He also enjoyed playing the piano, reading countless books, re-watching a favorite movie (The Third Man, and The Last of the Mohicans) or listening to some good music (The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, CCR, AC/DC and Ragtime Jazz). He loved spending time laughing with his family and old friends, and was always up for a party. Earle was very compassionate and genuinely cared about people. He was forever young at heart with a fun-loving spirit. A friend to all, he was always able to see the good in others.
Earle will be remembered for his intelligence, wonderful sense of humor and incredible gift of storytelling. He always had a joke to share or a quick-witted comeback. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three daughters; Nancy Zinni and her husband Jay of Exton, PA, Jennifer Wagner and her husband Michael of Cary, NC, and Amanda Boyer of Downingtown, PA; and five grandchildren; Kira, Alaina, Gianna, Eric and Brett.
