Earle G. Boyer, III formerly of Romansville, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 in Philadelphia, PA at the age of 72.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 16, 1946, he was the beloved son of Camilla M. Harrington (nee Rogan) of Lower Gwynedd, PA and the late Earle G. Boyer, Jr.
A 1964 graduate of Springfield Township High School, Earle was president of his class, captain of the track team, and a Penn Relay champion. He attended LaSalle University where he was a proud member of the Sigma Phi Lambda fraternity and graduated in 1968 with a degree in Economics.
An avid outdoorsman, Earle was an Eagle Scout and was happiest being surrounded by nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, participating in softball and dart leagues, and his involvement with the Brandywine Gun Club. A sports enthusiast, Earle was a lifelong Eagles and Phillies fan. He was fascinated with wildlife and American War History. He also enjoyed playing the piano, reading countless books, re-watching a favorite movie (The Third Man, and The Last of the Mohicans) or listening to some good music (The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, CCR, AC/DC and Ragtime Jazz). He loved spending time laughing with his family and old friends, and was always up for a party. Earle was very compassionate and genuinely cared about people. He was forever young at heart with a fun-loving spirit. A friend to all, he was always able to see the good in others.
Earle will be remembered for his intelligence, wonderful sense of humor and incredible gift of storytelling. He always had a joke to share or a quick-witted comeback. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three daughters; Nancy Zinni and her husband Jay of Exton, PA, Jennifer Wagner and her husband Michael of Cary, NC, and Amanda Boyer of Downingtown, PA; and five grandchildren; Kira, Alaina, Gianna, Eric and Brett.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 27th, 2018 at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am.

Earle, I already miss your weekly phone calls. You always made me laugh and remember the great times we had together hunting, fishing, trapping and running the mile relay at the Penn Relays. You were a wonderful friend I miss you a lot and hope you are hunting pheasants and rabbits in the great hunting grounds. Rich Kraft, Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Earle, we shared so many memories of hunting, adventures and just being great friends it is hard to grasp that you have gone ahead. Our friendship over the many years is treasured and the thought that there will always be another day has now gone away. You were loved and now greatly missed. Bob Ferguson

Earle had a great gift for being able to keep pace with whomever or whatever was put before him. Whatever you chose to do he was an able and necessary accompaniment. If a party was to be successful Earle's repartee was a required ingredient. An example of this ability is exemplified by his running a seminar on how to get through to the person who makes the decisions. One of the participants challenged Earle to call Ted Turner. Putting the call on speaker he proceeded to smoothly get past a number of secretaries and ultimately to Turner and chat him up for a couple of minutes. His knowledge of the history of our country was fascinating, as was his ability to go into the wilds and not just survive, but thrive. He could really run and I used to kid him that it was acquired by his having to so often flee from the results of his mischief. One of the best shuffleboard players ever, he and I often held the table for the evening. One of the nicer things that can be said about a man is that women were attracted to him and men respected him. Earle G. Boyer III was a singular personality who lived a very full life. He was a fine friend to many and his passing is a great loss to them.

Rest in peace Verne. I will miss your phone calls offering me your superbowl/world series tickets when the teams are in the dumps. I will remember the times hunting geese, chuckers and deer. I will remember the years we shared an office and your love of computers. You gave a lot to many.

My condolences to all who know and loved you.
