Richard Milan Sedmak, age 69, passed away on Monday, February 4th, 2019 in Fort Washington, PA.
Rich was born in Philadelphia to Doris Marie Sedmak (Schadewald) and Milan Sedmak. He was raised in Havertown, PA, where he graduated from Haverford High School. He majored in Electrical Engineering and Business at Lehigh University. After graduating he went on to earn an MBA. Rich worked as an engineer for Unisys for 12 years; was a business owner of Self-Test Services, a computer consulting company for 24 years; and was an avid Lehigh University Wrestling fan, serving as secretary of the Lehigh Wrestling Club for many years. Rich loved art and antiques; he and his wife bought and sold art and antiques throughout their working years and into retirement.
Rich was strong in his faith and proclaimed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Jarrettown United Methodist Church in Dresher, Pa from 1991 to 2010, and since his retirement, attended LCBC in Harleysville, PA and Coastal Christian in Ocean City, NJ.
He is the beloved husband of Jayne Thaete Sedmak of 48 years, devoted father of Richardson Peter Sedmak (Rebecca Hughes) of Philadelphia, PA and Kathryn Sedmak Van Aswegen (Lourens) of Atlanta, GA, and loving brother of Diane C. Sedmak of Boothwyn, PA.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 8th from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Jarrettown United Methodist Church, 1460 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at the church. The interment will be private.
