To know Mark Nathan, was truly a privilege in life. He embodied kindness and caring for all those souls whom he touched in his life, and will continue to resonate within all of us.
A loving brother who had challenges, he faithfully stepped up to each one with never losing his smile. Born and raised in Fort Washington, Pa, the community also embraced Mark and looked out for him as he "rode his bike" around the neighborhood and neighboring towns. Mark had a name for everyone he met and most stuck with them over time. We all cherished them as monikers and with it brought many smiles. No one was offended unless they didn't have one!
The support of his parents (the late Harold and Jeanne) and his brothers (Richard, Michael, Philip, Larry) in Mark's life further helped in developing his independence for the future. Mark had his Aunt Peg and many cousins who deeply cared for him, along with nieces, nephews and "sisters" acquired in life (Gail O and Karen K). Many neighbors on the "Hartranft" made further impacts on Mark's life as well.
Mark's untimely passing in July 2020 came during the Covid pandemic, which restricted the family to put together a proper service. We are now having that service for Mark on Saturday, June 12th, 2021. Visitation at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, (Ambler, Pa) from 9:30am -10am and Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial will be private.
Everything from our first meeting, to the cemetery and certificates, thank you cards, flower arrangements, church and obituary were handled in a professional manner. No pressure, no hype with compassion and complete attention to detail.
The Urban Family provides compassionate and professional guidance throughout the funeral planning, the services and for months to follow. Their attention to detail offers family and friends comfort in knowing nothing will be overlooked. Our family greatly appreciates their kindness during our recent loss.
“Our family has been with Urban funeral Home for close to 30 years. My Grandmother, Aunt, In laws and most recently Mom have had their funeral handled by Urban. My mother specifically requested Skip & Dolores handle her funeral. We were in good hands from beginning to end. Peter and Trudy are wonderful. My thanks to all the Urbans.”
