Robert W. Reitenbaugh died Thursday, September 3, 2020, at his home in Gwynedd Valley. He was 85 years old.

Born in Ardsley, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice (nee Robinson) Reitenbaugh. Mr. Reitenbaugh was preceded in death by his sweetheart, wife Ann L. (nee Piszek) Reitenbaugh in 2003.

Robert served his country in the United States Navy, stationed out of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station, from 10-05-1952 to 7-24-1959. Robert could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. At an early age he built his first car, and his love of automobiles inspired him to open his own foreign auto repair shop, Ambler, PA. In the follow years he became one of the first Datsun / Nissan Dealers, in the country and proudly served Montgomery County for 38 years prior to his retirement in 1987. In addition, he was the owner of R&R Transportation, which was the trucking company for Mrs. Paul's Kitchens.

Never was the same or true, Dad could light up a room with his presence. To know him was to love him. His priorities in life were his family and friends and his two dogs Ruger and Butters. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. His interests included working on his cars, enjoying a good glass of wine, playing a round of golf, a life member of the NRA, and traveling around the world.

Bob is the devoted father of Caryn Reitenbaugh of Gwynedd Valley, Robert W. Reitenbaugh, Jr of North Wales, and Edward C. Reitenbaugh and his wife Melissa of Downingtown. He is the loving grandfather of Matthew, Elizabeth, And Emily Reitenbaugh

Funeral Service and interment in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, will be held privately. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Caryn,Bobby,Eddie...my heart goes out to you in a BIG way. Your Dad had such a strong love for you,I hope you never doubted that.
One of my favorite memories was when my Dad,his wife,Gitte,Uncle Bob,Aunt Ann and Bobby,Caryn and Eddie and I went to Yohan's,in Atlantic City. (It was 1984,85,something like that). You had to be there to appreciate the joke, but, the point is,my Uncle Bob said something funny about the bathroom. When the waiter came to take our orders, he said something that, unbeknownst to him, played off what my Uncle Bob said. We laughed loud and heartiy, for a serious solid minute- I can still see my Aunt Ann wiping tears from laughing so hard. That is how I will always remember Bob Reitenbaugh...laughing. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Love and prayers ,Maria Piszek
