He and Brother Gerry were the best English teachers anyone could have in our senior year 1968 at SHC. Better than college profs. My writing came from them. My son went to Lasallle college high school for 3 years before we moved. SHC best education. Neil Schwan class of 1968

I am so shocked and saddened learning of Vince's passing. I went through the novitiate, scholasticate and graduate school in English at Georgetown. I considered him the closest of friends. He was an exceptional person: Smart, fun loving gracious and fervent. He was a true Lasallian IN EVERY SENSE. He brought joy to every encounter. My life is blessed that I knew and loved him. Vince and I met at Penn in 1970. I was soon calling him my best friend because we talked about everything and he was the smartest, funniest person I had ever met. I see from other tributes that he had this effect on all of us. We are lucky to have known him. We truly loved him. Thanks Vin.

There are no words to express how sorry I am at the passing of Vince. He was always so kind and always ready to help with any questions I had. I will miss our chats. Though I never met Helen he always spoke fondly of her. My prayers are with her. Vince was the best.

I am so sorry to hear of Vince’s passing. 🌹 I worked with/for Vince At Paine Webber decades ago and will always remember his quick wit and contagious smile and laugh! No matter what pressures were coming at him he always handled them with humor and poise. While I never had the honor of meeting you, Helen, i came to know you through Vinces ‘ kindness and generous spirit. I know you had a hand in picking out the thoughtful and lovely Christmas gifts which were said to come from you both. This is so very sad. I will be praying God’s peace and comfort over you and your family. My sincere and deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved Vince,

Dear, sweet Vince! I'm heartbroken that his long, hard fought battle has ended- a warrior throughout.
One of my favorite clients, I'll miss our monthly salon visits that inevitably involved both of us breaking into laugh-out-loud silliness!
His devotion to his beloved Helen was immense, as was his attachment to his sweet poochies.
Surely his entrance to heaven was guaranteed from a life well lived.
He has a new audience now for storytelling & jokes- I think I hear the thunderous laughing now!
Godspeed Vince

Was there anyone ever who could tell a story like Vinny? From the first word we sat spellbound listing to the anointed raconteur of the cul-de-sac. No detail went unnoticed whether it was a menu, a seat at the theatre, or your new hair style he noticed it all! “Can I get you anything?” was the first words uttered when entering Ormandy Place then off we went nonstop talking through the evening. Husband, brother, friend, showman, teacher, he was it all ...and then some. Aficionado of words, lover of life and a beautiful person of integrity he was my hero.
A pencil in God’s hand; I will miss every fiber of his being. What a charmer!

I've known Vince all my life and will so miss his humor, kindness, and generosity. I will also miss his unabashed love of preppy fashion long after it had gone out of style. He delighted in crazy plaid pants, pants with little whales all over them, and wonderfully silly ties of similar ilk. My heart goes out to Helen for the loss of such a unique character as Vince.
