Marilyn Martha Jacobs, of Ambler, died peacefully on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Abington-Lansdale Hospital. She was 92 years old.
Marilyn was born in Forty Fort, PA, the daughter of the late Peter and Estelle (Bernard) Broadt. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education and another in Library Science and had a career as a school teacher and librarian. She retired as the Librarian at Stoney Creek Elementary School in 1991.
Marilyn and her late husband Albert spent their retirement years as residents of Gwynedd Estates in Ambler. Together, they travelled the world. Marilyn always had a smile on her face. She was a social butterfly, and loved to cook and entertain friends in their gourmet club and play card games. Marilyn had many interests and was always up to trying something new. Her life revolved around her love for her family. She loved family gatherings, especially with her grandchildren. She was delighted to spend time with them at museums, parks and other fun activities.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert Bishop Jacobs in 2008. She is survived by her devoted daughters Jill Joann Jacobs of Stamford, CT and Judy Donato (the late Nicholas) of North Wales. She is the loving grandmother of Daniel Donato (Megan), Tiffany Donato, and Zhenya Nalywayko; and great-grandmother of Giavonna Donato and Gracie Mulroney.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marilyn's' Memorial Service on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. The Rev. George Jacobs will officiate.
