James J. Roynan, of Ambler PA., died peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton, PA. He was 85 years old.
Born in Flourtown, he was the son of the late James A. and Gertrude (Becker) Roynan.
Mr. Roynan was a 1954 graduate of Springfield High School and honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1962. He was employed for many years as a Production Scheduler at SPS Technologies until his retirement in 1998.
Jim was a passionate sports fan and loved his Philadelphia sports teams. He was also an avid fan of Notre Dame football. Jim loved to read. He eschewed current digital and audio books in favor of his preferred paperbacks. Jim would often read two books a week. But more than anything else, Jim loved his family. He looked forward to the opportunities he had to spend time celebrating with them.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Nicolina "Nicci" (nee Ciliberto). He is the devoted father of James P. Roynan and his wife Susan, of Warrington; Michael J. Roynan and his wife Maureen, of Perkasie; and Kathleen R. Muscarella and her husband David, of Worcester. He is the dear grandfather of six grandchildren: David (Kristen), Emily, and Timothy Roynan; Matthew and Megan Roynan; and Antonio Muscarella; and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacob Roynan. Jim is the brother of Cathleen Ford (the late Ronald), Mary Ciliberto (Anthony "Tut"), Anne Ketner (Barry), and William Roynan (Rosemary).

“Our family has been with Urban funeral Home for close to 30 years. My Grandmother, Aunt, In laws and most recently Mom have had their funeral handled by Urban. My mother specifically requested Skip & Dolores handle her funeral. We were in good hands from beginning to end. Peter and Trudy are wonderful. My thanks to all the Urbans.”
